While they haven't forgotten that this is an issue, it's not something that affects them day-to-day any more. ![]() Out of the portion remaining - the minority of Switch owners who regularly use d-pads and know that the problems are with the design of the Pro controller - most in that group have probably now found some kind of acceptable substitute for the Switch's poor digital controls. Some games are very tolerant of weird inputs, making the issue more difficult to spot. Others will use d-pads, but either won't notice missed inputs or will blame those misses on themselves. ![]() For these people the Jo圜on buttons are pretty much functionally equivalent to a d-pad and if they buy a Pro controller they probably don't see much of a difference between the Pro controller d-pad and any other d-pad that they've used. Click to shrink.Some non-trivially large portion of gamers view analogue sticks as not just the primary control system, but the only one for most games, and rarely or never touch a d-pad for anything other than the secondary selection functions that lots of modern games place on the d-pad.
